Real reason Gombe Speaker, Sadique Ibrahim Kurba, was impeached on Tuesday has emerged
OpenLife Nigeria reports that the real reason Sadique Ibrahim Kurba was impeached on Tuesday by 16 out of the 24 members of the assembly is not unconnected with anti-party activities and financial impropriety.
OpenLife gathered that the house proceedings leading to the impeachment of the embattled speaker was presided over by the Deputy Speaker, Siddi Buba, representing Kwami West constituency.
A credible source at Gombe Government House told OpenLife that Sadique Ibrahim Kurba has long fallen out of grace with governor Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya who is allegedly piqued over Sadique Ibrahim Kurba’s ambition for House of Reps in 2023.
According to the information, Sadique Ibrahim Kurba appears to be interested in the National Assembly lower house, a development that ignited his fraternity with the Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo’s led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the 24 years old State.
The development, according to sources, made the governor’s agents to keep tab on the speaker.
In no time, according to information, he was discovered to be secretly funding PDP activities in the state on account of a promise that he would get the PDP Reps ticket unchallenged in 2023.
OpenLife Nigeria source further disclosed that based on this anti party activities, a meeting was called where members were instructed to level accusations against the former speaker for impeachment.
OpenLife Nigeria, however, continues the investigations.
