Rare Governor: Umahi Finishes Strong As Ebonyi Governor

Rare Governor as  Umahi Finishes Strong

OpenLife Nigeria reports that by May 29, 2023 when there will be change of executive leadership across many States in Nigeria, tears would probably roll down the cheeks of many Nigerians because of Governor Engineer Dave Umahi, who they would missed dearly.
Umahi, born July 25, 1964 in Ohaozara Local Government Area, became governor of Ebonyi, a state in the South-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria on May 29, 2015.
His hallmarks have been excellence in service delivery.
From a sorrow and neglected state to a transformed state where things are beautiful, the narratives have been soul lifting.
“Umahi is over qualified to be Nigeria’s President. His life transforming performance speaks volume. It was just unfortunate he could not get his party’s ticket,” a Professor of Political Science from Lagos State University told OpenLife in a recent conversation.
However, as the middle age governor begins his count down after numerous achievements across sectors, he is, yet again, set to raise 10,000 young multimillionaires through agriculture
Governor Umahi made this disclosure at the graduation ceremony of over 171 youths from Ebonyi at the CSS integrated Farms in Gora, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
According to him, over 300 youths from Ebonyi were also trained in the last three months at same CSS Integrated Farms at Gora.
“If you add the over 300 to these ones that just graduated, we are looking about 500 or more. I saw their excitement and willingness. It was obvious that they have discovered their destinies.
“We are going to empower them. We have already asked them to compile their names. We are going to put them into an association. Back home we have people that we have empowered, ranging from N300,000 to five million naira.
“And so if you put all these people together, they could be over 10,000. I am talking about the last three months. We will form them into a strong force. The club will be called Akubaraoha Millionaire Farmers club.
“With this project we are are going raise multimillionaires for them to graduate into multi billionaires. And this is God’s vision, because, every step of it, is God’s directive,” Umahi stressed.
He, however, explained that it would be another lease of life for the people of Ebonyi, adding that it would take their minds away from politics.
“We have graduated from infrastructure through which we have laid an irreversible foundation for our state; it is now time to build on the infrastructure. So we are building these people and agriculture is one of the ways.
“From there, industrialisation will spring up in the state. I feel excited, because, when God gives you an assignment, it may look so tasking and insurmountable, but if you accept it, you will see God making a way.
“So this is going to happen, and today is remarkable because, it is like a day that Moses is receiving the ten commandments for the children of Israel at Mount Sinai.
“So, today, I have received the commandment for Ebonyi on this land; on CSS land, and it will be remembered in the history of Ebonyi, ” Umahi said.
He also commended the over 500 officials of the farm for their commitment in their work
In his speech, the Chairman of CSS Group, Mr John Kennedy Okpara, advised the trainees to be focused and committed to what they were trained on, to ensure they become successful.
Opara led Umahi and his entourage on a tour of the different sections of the farms where processing, production and packaging of different farm products are carried out.
