Protest Escalates in a Nigerian community

OpenLife Nigeria reports that protest has been escalated in Zone 4, Victory Estate in  Iba community in Lagos over prolonged darkness.
According to eyes witness account, the Zone 4 Victory Estate Community Development Association, CDA, in Iba,    Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State  has been in darkness for one  year.
This prompted the residents to stag a peaceful protest ventilating their frustration.
According to the narrative, the  community tasked themselves and purchased one unit 500 KVA transformer, one unit 4way feeder pillar and one H pole, which were donated to Ekedisc management since June 2022,but nothing has been done about the installation.
     Till date the said community is still in prolonged darkness
      The Chairman of the CDA  Mr.Friday John Ani has been in constant touch with one Mr. Jerry the PRO Ekedisc Ojo district head since June 2022 for prompt installation of this transformer procured by the community,but it has always been endless promise.
At a point, officials of the Ekedisc from Marina came to inspect the transformer but no action was taken.
     The community has made representation and appeals to the office  of the district head of the Ekedisc to help them  for prompt installation of their newly donated transformer to Ekedc management to enable their community to enjoy steady right like others,but all to no avail.
    On weekly basis they are losing members and tenants who are moving out as a result of ineffective power supply.
