Polaris Bank Joins Global Organizations To Celebrate 2026 Customer Service Week, Reinstates Commitment To Offering Quality Banking Experience
OpenLife News reports that Polaris Bank is set to join global organizations to celebrate the 2026 Customer Service Week, scheduled for October 5 to 9, under the theme, “The Extra Mile.”
For the Bank, this year’s theme reinforces its longstanding commitment to placing customers at the heart of its business and continuously enhancing their banking experience.
Over the years, Polaris Bank has used Customer Service Week not only to appreciate its customers but also to celebrate employees who consistently demonstrate exceptional service while reinforcing a culture of customer-centricity across the organization.
The Bank’s celebration of Customer Service Week has evolved to reflect different dimensions of its service culture. In 2020, it celebrated under the theme “Dream Team,” recognising the collective efforts of employees in sustaining service delivery during a challenging period.
The focus on service excellence and customer appreciation continued in 2021, while 2022 reinforced the Bank’s commitment to delivering value through meaningful customer relationships.
In 2023, the theme “Team Service” highlighted collaboration as key to delivering seamless customer experiences.
The 2024 edition further deepened the focus on service excellence and customer engagement, while 2025, themed “Mission: Possible,” celebrated the resilience of employees in overcoming challenges to deliver exceptional experiences.
This sustained focus on customer experience has also earned external validation. In the 2022 KPMG Customer Experience Survey, Polaris Bank emerged as the most improved bank in the retail segment, rising five places to sixth position — a recognition of its efforts to improve the quality and consistency of customer interactions.
Speaking ahead of this year’s celebration, the Managing Director/CEO of Polaris Bank, Mr. Kayode Lawal, reaffirmed the centrality of customers to the Bank’s growth.“Customers are at the heart of everything we do.
“Their feedback, trust and partnership challenge us to keep improving and delivering value every day.
“Customer Service Week is an opportunity to recognise that relationship and remind ourselves that great service must go beyond expectation,” he said.
According to the Bank, the 2026 theme, “The Extra Mile,” speaks directly to the evolving expectations of today’s banking customers — listening more closely, resolving issues faster, providing clearer information, anticipating needs, simplifying processes and showing genuine empathy when it matters most.
This commitment, the Bank noted, cuts across all its physical and digital touchpoints, including its branch and business network, contact centre and digital banking platforms such as VULTe, with a focus on delivering a consistent and responsive experience regardless of channel.
As part of activities marking the week, Polaris Bank will engage customers and recognise service champions through a series of activities across its branches, digital channels and other customer touchpoints.
The celebration will also serve as an avenue to encourage customer feedback and strengthen the link between customer insights and continuous service improvement.
As Customer Service Week 2026 approaches, Polaris Bank Plc maintains that exceptional service should be an everyday practice, not just an annual event, noting that every interaction presents an opportunity to listen better, respond faster, show genuine care and create greater value.
For the Bank, “The Extra Mile” is more than a Customer Service Week theme; it is a commitment to making every customer interaction count.
