[PHOTO] ‘Knife cuts in his belly’ – How Katsina Commissioner was killed in home

One of the persons who saw the dead body of Rabe Nasir, the Katsina State Commissioner for Science and Technology, said there were knife cuts in his belly and other parts of his body.

Nasir, 61, who assassinated on Wednesday night, attempted to escape but his assailants were said to have blocked him.

Nasir was killed in his house located at Fatima Shema Quarters in Katsina city on Wednesday.

“The unfortunate incident happened on Wednesday night. We strongly suspect assassination because the attackers killed him and locked his corpse in one of the toilets in the house.

“The corpse was discovered today Thursday,” a source said according to Daily Trust.

Sympathisers were also seen loitering around the residence around 7pm on Thursday while security operatives prevented people from entering the compound.
