The Acting Publicity Secretary of the Ogun State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mr. Olasunkanmi Oyejide, has expressed confidence that the party would regain its lost glory.
He said with the purposeful leadership being given to the party at various levels, the lost glory would be restored sooner than later.
He stated this while speaking at the party secretariat in Abeokuta.
Oyejide said the inroad the PDP made into the North during the 2019 general elections was a pointer to the bright future that awaits the party.
He said it was gratifying that the Supreme Court, which is the final court in the land, had resolved the issue of the Ogun State PDP in favour of the Engr. Adebayo Dayo-led State Executive.
“I strongly believe that useful lessons have been learnt on all sides, ahead of the preparations for the party congresses in 2020”, he added
Olusunkanmi said that the party will leave no stone unturned to bring back “ts lost sheep”, and ensure a smooth congresses from the ward to the national levels.
“PDP remains the largest party in Africa. We belong to the top. And very soon, we shall return to the summit.Consultations are on going at various levels. We have learnt from our past mistakes and will not want to repeat them again.
“In Ogun State, the Engr. Adebayo Dayo-led executive committee and critical stakeholders of the party are meeting on regular basis. We have identified most of the problems we had in the last general election and they are being addressed. We have resolved to put the round pegs in the round holes, going forward. While others are switching and gallivanting, we are strategising. The mission to return PDP to its winning ways is on,” Oyejide added.
