<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Oviemuno Oghoore cautions commuters as the year draws to an end<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that as the years gradually draws to an end&comma; the honourable commissioner for Transport in Delta State <strong>Oviemuno<&sol;strong> Oghoore&comma; has cautioned commuters to be security conscious as they move from one point to the other&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;This is to ensure that commuters do not fall prey the tricks of fraudster&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The Commissioner also charged Commuters to be mindful of the vehicles they board as the yuletide is fast approaching&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Oviemuno gave the advice&comma; due to the increase in vehicular and commuters activities as well as the reported cases of innocent commuters falling victims to fraudsters&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Commissioner appealed to commuters &lpar;passengers&rpar; to be sure to board vehicles from recognized motor parks and also to patronize tricycle &lpar;keke&rpar; and Cabs painted in the State Colour Code of blue and white with boldly written identification unique code numbers at the rear and sides&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Oviemuno enjoined commuters to avoid the temptation of boarding unmarked vehicles from roadsides&comma; stressing that <em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;some persons have been duped&comma; gang-raped and sometimes abducted or even get killed&period;’’<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He further stressed the need to be safety conscious and avoid travelling at night&comma; adding that <em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;even with your private cars&comma; don’t travel at odd hours&period;’’<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Oviemuno Oghoore charged motorists to put their vehicles in good mechanical and electrical conditions and advised that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;worn and expired tires should be replaced in order to avoid unpleasant situations&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He directed the Vehicle Inspection Personnel &lpar;VIO&rpar; and Delta State Traffic Management Authority <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">&lpar;DESTMA&rpar;<&sol;a> to be civil in the discharge of their duties at all times&comma; even in the face of provocation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Commissioner equally stated that DESTMA and <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">VIO<&sol;a> personnel should not be seen as an enemy on their duty post&period; He added that there were cases of physical&comma; verbal and psychological abuse concerning the officers&period; The government will not<&sol;p>&NewLine;
