OpenLife News reports that Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdul Samad Rabiu, has described a private dinner hosted by billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, in honour of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, as a memorable evening of friendship.
Rabiu disclosed this in a statement on his official social media handle on Sunday.
According to him, the dinner was held at Otedola’s residence and had in attendance Africa’s richest man, Alhaji Aliko Dangote.
“A memorable evening at the residence of my dear friend and brother, Femi Otedola, who graciously hosted Alhaji Aliko Dangote and me to a special dinner in honour of Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State and gubernatorial aspirant,” Rabiu wrote.
The BUA Chairman described the evening as one filled with warm friendship and meaningful conversations.
Rabiu also used the opportunity to wish Hamzat well in his governorship ambition.
“An evening of warm friendship and meaningful conversations.
“I extend my warmest wishes to Dr. Hamzat as he pursues his ambition to lead Lagos State, wishing him every success in the journey ahead,” he added.
Dr. Hamzat, who has served as Deputy Governor under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu since 2019, is widely reported to be eyeing the Lagos State governorship seat in 2027.
The private dinner brings together three of Nigeria’s most influential businessmen – Otedola, Dangote and Rabiu – in a show of support for Hamzat.
