OpenLife’s Adekunle Omobolaji emerges Treasurer Ogun NUJ Federated Chapel

&NewLine;<p>Adekunle Omobolaji&comma; Open Life correspondent in Ogun State&comma; has emerged Treasurer in the reconstituted Ogun State National Union of Journalists&comma; NUJ&comma; Federated Chapel&period; Her emergence stems from unanimous decision by members anchored on her unassailable traits of trust&comma; honesty&comma; professionalism&comma; commitment to truth and fear of God&period; Earlier on Monday&comma; November 11&comma; members of Federated Chapel had dissolved the Niyi Adeloye-led executive council of the chapel over gross misconduct and financial impropriety&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The members&comma; rising from their monthly Congress accused the former executive of defrauding the State NUJ council of check-off dues paid to him by members&period;  According to the aggrieved members&comma; the sum of N92&comma;000 was paid to him as check-off dues&comma; but only N42&comma;000 was paid to the State Council without cogent explanation on the disappearance of N50&comma;000&period; The members also frowned at the dissolved executives’ failure to call the statutory monthly congress in the last two years which according to them was against Article 5&comma; Section D&comma; sub-section 7 &lpar;a&rpar; and &lpar;b&rpar; of the NUJ constitution&period; They however&comma;&NewLine;constituted a three-man caretaker committee headed by Olamilekan Jaji as&NewLine;Chairman&comma; Sunkanmi Akinlotan as Secretary and Adekunle Omobolaji as Treasurer&period;&nbsp&semi;The Congress&NewLine;therefore called on the dissolved executive to hand over property of the chapel&NewLine;to the caretaker committee within seven days&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Adekunle&comma; a crack reporter with sound intelligence in investigation&comma; has broken many exclusive stories published in OpenLife&comma; a development that has  endeared the pan African news magazine to the who is who in the business and political circles in Nigeria&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
