<h4>Ogun Police Command Provides Update On Anthony<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that Ogun State Police Command has provided an update on the prosecution process of the driver that conveyed renowned boxer&comma; Anthony Joshau in an ill-fated Toyota Lexus SUV&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to a statement signed by DSP Oluseyi B&period; Babaseyi&comma; Police Public Relations Officer<br &sol;>&NewLine;Ogun State Command and made available to OpenLife&comma; the driver named Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode is under going prosecution&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The statement further disclosed that the Sagamu Magistrate Court where he is under going trial has adjoined the case to 20th January&comma; 2026&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The terse statement reads&colon;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>The Ogun State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that the driver of the Lexus SUV involved in the Anthony Joshua accident case&comma; Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode &lpar;male&rpar;&comma; aged 46&comma; was charged in Sagamu Magistrate Court today&comma; 2nd January&comma; 2026 and the case has been adjourned to 20th January&comma; 2026&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>DSP Oluseyi B&period; Babaseyi <&sol;strong><&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;<em><strong>Police Public Relations Officer <&sol;strong><&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;<em><strong>Ogun State Command&comma; Eleweran&comma; Abeokuta&comma;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;<em><strong>Ogun State&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It would be recalled that on Monday&comma; December 29&comma; a Lexus SUV carrying the former heavyweight champion and two of his associates crashed into a stationary truck on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway&comma; which links Ogun state to Lagos&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;31720" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-31720" style&equals;"width&colon; 271px" class&equals;"wp-caption alignnone"><img class&equals;"size-full wp-image-31720" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2026&sol;01&sol;images-1&period;png" alt&equals;"Ogun Police Command Provides Update On Anthony Joshua’s Driver" width&equals;"271" height&equals;"130" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-31720" class&equals;"wp-caption-text"><em><strong>Anthony Joshua in the ill fated SUV<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p>The two associates&comma; Sina Ghami and Latif &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Latz” Ayodele&comma; were killed&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;On Wednesday afternoon&comma; Joshua was released from a Lagos hospital Wednesday and he paid his respects to his deceased friends at the morgue&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Lagos state commissioner for information&comma; <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;independent&period;co&period;uk&sol;">Gbenga Omotoso<&sol;a>&comma; said Wednesday that the 36-year-old had been discharged after being deemed clinically fit to recuperate from &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;home&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;

She said the issue is widely known among residents but remains unaddressed. “Do you know how bad sexual harrssment is in Lagos? Like go to Yaba, as a girl and see how you will be touched inappropriately. Everybody hearing this knows that it is true. But till today, nothing is being done about it.” She described what she claims are repeated incidents of inappropriate contact in public spaces without consequences for those responsible. “You’re walking in Yaba and people are touching you inappropriately and nothing will happen.” Rosman questioned the absence of effective intervention and raised concerns about personal safety in such environments. “If the government is not going to do anything, is it not ok for us to defend ourselves? In 2026, in a country like Nigeria, s+xual har+ssment is still one of the most passive things.” She also raised concerns about the implications of such behaviour occurring in open public spaces. “If a man can s+xually h+rass you casually during the day, what do you think he can do behind closed doors when no one is looking?”. The comments were made during an interview with Tolu Afilaka, where she discussed women’s safety in public areas of Lagos.
