Ogun, IITA sign MoU on training and equipment

&NewLine;<p>The Government of Ogun State and International Institute of Tropical Agriculture &lpar;IITA&rpar; officially sealed partnership for Agricultural Intervention activities in the State at the Memorandum of Understanding &lpar;MoU&rpar; Signing Ceremony held at IITA Headquarters in Ibadan&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The partnership&comma; among other things&comma; would achieve delivery of improved planting materials&comma; technical backstopping for the establishment of demonstration farms for youth focused Agricultural projects and Agricultural value chain training of youths in Ogun State&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>This is in line with the State Government’s resolve to actualize the State Agricultural Agenda of Food Security&comma; Job Creation and Income for youths and smallholder farmers in Ogun State&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The IITA team&comma; led by the Director General Dr&period; Saginga Nteranya&comma; had the Director of Advocacy and Country Alignment Function&comma; Dr Kwesi Atta-Krah&comma; renowned Consultant Agronomists Prof Lateef Sanni and Dr&period; Richard Okechukwu&comma; and other Management Staff of IITA in attendance&period;&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>the Commissioner for Agriculture&comma; Dr&period; Adeola Odedina&comma; comprised of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Agriculture&comma; Dr&period; Angel Kuye&comma; Permanent Secretary&comma; Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture&comma; Dr&period; Dotun Sorunke&semi; Director of Administration&comma; Director of Agricultural Services&semi; Programme Manager&comma; Ogun State Cassava Revolution Programme&semi; Programme Manager&comma; Ogun State Agricultural Development Programme&comma; and the Principal of Odeda Farm Institute&comma; Ogun State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
