Obidi Intervenes In Gehgeh Family Dispute With ₦2M And Nursing School Sponsorship Abroad
OpenLife reports that Gehgeh’s sister has spoken out again amid saga online discussions about her relationship with her brother and claims surrounding financial support within the family.
She recounted a past experience at Gehgeh’s housewarming ceremony, saying she was turned away at the entrance despite attending through a family invitation. According to her, the incident left her feeling embarrassed and excluded.
“I am earning #30,000 as salary. The day I went to my brother, Gehgeh’s house warming, the bouncer sent me away from the gate. My brother didn’t even invite me, it was the family members he told that invited me and I was bounced at the gate. I felt so ashamed,” she said.
The sister also responded to public claims suggesting that Gehgeh had already provided her with financial assistance and housing. She rejected the allegations and questioned the accuracy of such statements, insisting that her current situation tells a different story.
“Some people said Gehgeh gave me bundles of money and rented a house for me. If that was true, would I still come out to cry? Ask Gehgeh who he has truly empowered in the family. If I was receiving all that, what would I gain by tarnishing his image?” she said.
Meanwhile, feminist advocate Obidi has stepped into the situation, raising ₦2 million for her during a livestream. Obidi also announced plans to support her education in nursing school and pledged to assist her relocation abroad after graduation.
The development has drawn widespread attention online, with many users reacting to both the family dispute and the public intervention.
