OpenLife Nigeria reports that the recently inaugurated Exco members of the National Open University Of Nigeria, (NOUN) Alumni Yobe State Chapter paid a maiden visit to Damaturu Study Centre.
The Exco members which comprise the Chairman, Alh. Yusuf Isa, the Secretary, Alhaji Hamisu Ado Nguru, and Treasurer Murja Tijjani were inaugurated recently by the National body of the Alumni.
During the courtesy visit to the Centre Director, Yusuf Isa stated that ” the motive behind this visit was to familiarise ourselves with the Centre Director and other senior management staff of the Study Center”.
Adding that, ” Globally the sole aim of forming Alumni is to promote the motive behind establishing such school or institution to the outside world.”
“Therefore, we assured you that we will mobilize the available resources, influences at our disposal for the promotion of NOUN Damaturu Study Centre.”
In his welcome address, the Centre Director, Dr. Muhammad Machina said, “as an old students of the center is like a homecoming you and me”.
He assure the Chairman that the center will provide all that is needed for the promotion of the National Open University Of Nigeria across Yobe State.
Machina said, the management of the center under my watch is going provide a befitting office within the vicinity of the Damaturu Study Centre for the Alumni Chairman and other Exco members use.
He concluded by urging the Chairman to use his office judiciously by reaching out to all former students of the NOUN across all the seventeen Local Governments of the state so that they form part of the promotion team.
