NOSOP, North South Progressive Movement is Nigeria’s new language, says John Nwobodo.
Nwobodo, an Enugu attorney and lecturer, who made this known on Saturday, is the national co coordinator of the Movement.
In a statement, Nwobodo re emphasized the cardinal standpoints of the Movement, saying “We remain committed to the ideas and goals of NOSOP.”
According to him, the North-South Progressives is a non-partisan and pan-Nigerian Movement. The association of patriots promotes national good governance based on the principles of equity, justice and fairness.
“We believe every section of Nigeria should share in the opportunity to govern Nigeria and administer key institutions of state.”
To achieve this, Nwobodo urges citizens to adopt NOSOP as Nigeria’s new language in social, business, culture and politics.
“We can break the walls of ethnicity and religious bigotry that have held us backward as a nation. Either North or South, we are brothers and we are friends,” he says.
For the avoidance of ambiguity, Nwobodo explains that “NOSOP is not a platform to seek political power. It might act as a catalyst for political power only to the extent consistent with its published aims and objectives.”
Meanwhile, the association has fixed its “First National Stakeholders Meeting” for September 25 by 10am at Enugu Sports Club, GRA, Enugu.
