Nollywood Actress Laide Bakare Confirms Third Marriage Plans, Calls It Her “First Official” Wedding Experience

Nollywood Actress Laide Bakare Confirms Third Marriage Plans

OpenLife reports that Laide Bakare has shared that she is set to marry again, revealing that preparations are already underway for what she describes as her “third marriage.”

Interestingly, the Nollywood actress expressed a personal perspective on the upcoming union, noting that it would be her “first “official” wedding experience in her own view.”

The disclosure came during a candid conversation with content creator Akin Abolade, where she reflected on her relationship history and current outlook on love.

While she confirmed that plans for the ceremony are in motion, she deliberately kept details such as the identity of her partner and the wedding date private.

Bakare’s romantic journey has been widely followed over the years. She was once married to US-based businessman Olumide Okufulure, a marriage that produced a daughter named Simi before it eventually ended in separation.

Years later, she entered another marriage in 2012 with Alhaji Mutairu Atanda Orilowo, with whom she also had children.

However, that union did not last, following reports linking Orilowo to legal challenges involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2014, which contributed to the breakdown of the marriage.

Despite the challenges from her past relationships, Bakare conveyed a hopeful stance about love and companionship during the interview. She emphasized that she still values the idea of building a home and remains open to giving marriage another chance, even after previous experiences did not turn out as expected.

Her revelation has since sparked conversations among fans and observers, as many reflect on her resilience and continued optimism toward starting anew in her personal life.
