Nnewi Communities honour Anambra Police Commissioner, others

&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng">Nnewi<&sol;a>&comma; the industrial hub of Anambra State&comma; witnessed an unusual traffic on August 15 as security agents across military formations received honours from the communities for providing unassailable security to the environment&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>A statement by Superintendent &nbsp&semi;Haruna Mohammed&comma; Anambra Police Command’s public Relations Officers&comma; stated that<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>the occasion which was sponsored by one of <strong>Nnewi’s<&sol;strong>   illustrious son&comma; Dr Chukwuma Innoson&comma;  recognized officers across various security agencies in the State comprising Police&comma; Department of State Security&comma; DSS&comma; Civil Defence&comma; Federal Road Safety Commission&comma; FRSC and local vigilante group&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>These officers&comma; according to the statement&comma;  have  exhibited selfless service in promoting safety and security in <a href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;thisdaylive&period;com">Nnewi<&sol;a> town<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The statement added that it was &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Part of the communities’ efforts to show appreciation and&nbsp&semi; boost the morale of the law enforcement officials in the State&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>The event held &nbsp&semi;at the palace of HRH Igwe K&period;O&period;N Orizu III&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Beneficiaries of the awards include Anambra  Commissioner of<strong> police<&sol;strong>&comma; John Abang&semi; Nnewi Area  Commander&comma; ACP Sunday Irek&semi; the  second in command in the Nnewi Area Command&comma; CSP Ndidi Amaka&comma; Nnewi DPO&comma; CPS Nnamdi Anabike and DPO Otolo Division&comma; CSP Hassan Lawal&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Others include Divisional Crime officers Nnewi and Otolo Divisions as well as&nbsp&semi; Unit Commanders SARS and Special Anti-cult among others&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Responding on behalf of the award recipients&comma; the Commissioner John Abang thanked the traditional ruler and organisers for recognizing their efforts towards promoting safety and security in the State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>He &nbsp&semi;further promised to work for greater peace and security in Anambra State and beyond&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Dignitaries who graced the occasion include former Governor of Anambra State&comma; Her Excellency Dame Virgy Etiaba&comma; Chief Dr Chukwuma Innoson&comma; Chairman and CEO INNOSON Motors&comma; Chief Engineer&nbsp&semi; Dan Ulasi&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Also present were Obi of Uruagu&comma; Obi Afam Obi&comma; Obi of Umudim&comma;Obi Beneth Okafor&comma;Obi of Nnewichi &comma;Obi George Onyekaba and PG Nnewi Sir Ugochukwu Udemezie among others&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
