Nkechi Blessing Warns Fans: “Don’t Secretly Film Me And My Partner!”
OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has taken to social media to make it clear: her private life is off-limits.
In a stern message to the public, she cautioned fans and onlookers against secretly recording her and her partner during outings.
In a video statement, Nkechi Blessing explained that, despite being a public figure, she values privacy in her current relationship.
“If you secretly record me and my man in public, I will break your phone,” she warned.
The actress shared a recent encounter at a restaurant where a woman allegedly filmed her and her partner without permission.
She said a waitress informed her, prompting Nkechi to confront the woman politely.
“One of the waitress called my attention to it. And then I walked up to her and then I said politely, ma’am, I find it very disrespectful of you making videos of I and my man without our consent. It doesn’t make sense,” she said.
Nkechi Blessing emphasized that she welcomes fans approaching her directly for pictures or videos, but secret recordings cross a line, especially as her partner prefers to remain off social media.
“Yes, I am a public figure. I am in your faces. If you wanted a picture or a video, walk up to me. I don’t bite. But you trying to take an unsolicited picture and videos of me and my man, I wouldn’t take that.
This is somebody that I don’t want him to be on the Internet,” she added.
She concluded with a firm warning:
“Now, I am saying this categorically. The next time you see I and my man outside, please keep your phones. Because guess what? I will break it. Can you see how soft I said that? Because I know my man will fight.
This man does not want to be out there. Yes. be known does that make sense like he doesn’t want to just be in the news for the wrong reasons and if eventually i want to bring him to the internet i would do so at my own time.”
Nkechi Blessing’s statement makes it clear that, even as a public figure, she expects her personal life to be respected.
She emphasizes that any recording of her or her partner without consent is unacceptable, highlighting the importance of privacy and discretion in public spaces.
