Nigerian Insecurity: What Government Should Do—–Guru Maharaj

<p>Nigerian insecurity has assumed a frightening dimension so much so that government’s efforts seem infantile<br &sol;>&NewLine;<strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a> <&sol;strong>reports that the frightening dimension of the <strong>Nigerian<&sol;strong> insecurity has prompted many stakeholders to look into the crystal balls for solutions&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Across the land&comma; there have been preponderance of suggested solutions&comma; most of which seem an illusion&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;The latest of the voices of advice came from Sat Guru Maharaj Ji&comma; the spiritual leader of One Love Family&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;In a press conference which held on Thursday&comma; February 18 in Lagos&comma; Guru Maharaj Ji reflected on crucial issues affecting the world which have orchestrated endless deaths&comma; disasters and other forms of challenges every seconds of the day and advised the world to embrace divine knowledge&comma; which he possesses&comma; to be able overcome worries&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Sat Guru Maharaj Ji is the physical manifestation of the creator in human body and that the entire human race should come for his divine knowledge to be empowered and productive like the bees that products honey&comma;” he stated&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Maharaj Ji took exemption to the increasing level of Nigerian insecurity through killings and kidnapping and singled out the efforts of Sunday Igboho whom he said should be accorded national honour &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;For exposing criminals in Ibarakpa town in Oyo State&period;”<br &sol;>&NewLine;He also advised President Muhammadu Buhari to &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Publish names and photos of those who have been caught and jailed by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission&comma; EFCC and Independent Corrupt Practices Commission&comma; ICPC to serve as deterrent to others&period;”<br &sol;>&NewLine;On the international scene&comma; Maharaj Ji sent warnings to the current president of Ghana&comma; Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo&comma; who won the December 2020 election&comma; to desist from &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;All bogus economic business laws against fellow African countries otherwise&comma; he should prepare to step down&period;”<br &sol;>&NewLine;He added that former President Donald Trump of the United States of America met his political waterloo for refusing to apologize to Africans after calling the continent a shithole&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;

Nollywood Actress, Shine Rosman, Raises Alarm Over Alleged Sexual Harassment In Lagos OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Shine Rosman has spoken about what she describes as ongoing incidents of sexual harassment affecting women in parts of Lagos, particularly in Yaba. She said the issue is widely known among residents but remains unaddressed. “Do you know how bad sexual harrssment is in Lagos? Like go to Yaba, as a girl and see how you will be touched inappropriately. Everybody hearing this knows that it is true. But till today, nothing is being done about it.” She described what she claims are repeated incidents of inappropriate contact in public spaces without consequences for those responsible. “You’re walking in Yaba and people are touching you inappropriately and nothing will happen.” Rosman questioned the absence of effective intervention and raised concerns about personal safety in such environments. “If the government is not going to do anything, is it not ok for us to defend ourselves? In 2026, in a country like Nigeria, s+xual har+ssment is still one of the most passive things.” She also raised concerns about the implications of such behaviour occurring in open public spaces. “If a man can s+xually h+rass you casually during the day, what do you think he can do behind closed doors when no one is looking?”. The comments were made during an interview with Tolu Afilaka, where she discussed women’s safety in public areas of Lagos.
