NDC Celebrates Kwankwaso @ 70
OpenLife News reports that the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has celebrated its 2027 Vice Presidential candidate, Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on his 70th birthday, describing him as a people-centred leader.
In a birthday message signed by its National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses, the party said Kwankwaso remains a symbol of courage, selfless service and progressive politics.
The statement was issued on behalf of the National Executive Committee, National Working Committee and members of the party across Nigeria and in the diaspora.
“At 70, you remain a towering symbol of courage, selfless service, progressive politics, and people-centered leadership,” the statement read.
The NDC recalled Kwankwaso’s tenure as Governor of Kano State, where he said he redefined governance through the Kwankwasiyya philosophy, as well as his service as Senator, Minister and National Leader.
“From your exemplary tenure as Governor of Kano State, where you redefined governance with the Kwankwasiyya philosophy, to your distinguished service as a Senator, Minister, and National Leader, you have consistently demonstrated that politics can indeed be a noble instrument for lifting the masses,” the party said.
The party added that Kwankwaso has brought energy, loyalty and grassroots appeal to the Obi-Kwankwaso (OK) ticket.
“As our Vice Presidential Candidate, you have brought uncommon energy, loyalty, capacity, and grassroots appeal to the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket.
“You are a dependable partner in our collective quest to rescue Nigeria and birth a New Nigeria that works for all,” it stated.
The NDC prayed for long life and good health for the former governor.
“We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants you many more years in sound health, wisdom, and strength to continue your service to humanity and to our dear nation,” Moses added.
