<h4>NASRE Condoles With Access Holdings<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that the Nigerian Association of Social and Resourceful Editors&comma; NASRE&comma; has expressed profound condolences to Access Holdings Plc over the passing of its Group Chief Executive Officer&comma; Dr&period; Herbert Wigwe&comma; CFR&comma; along with his wife and son which occurred in a helicopter crash in the United States of America&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In a letter&comma; signed by the president&comma; Femi Oyewale and addressed to Mr&period; Amaechi Michael Okobi&comma; the director of corporate communication of Access Holdings Plc&comma; the resourceful association acknowledges the significant managerial skills of Herbert Wigwe&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to the statement made available to <a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;vanguardngr&period;com&sol;">OpenLife<&sol;a>&comma; the media association  noted that his contributions to the development of SMEs&comma; the industrial hub of Nigeria and Africa remain unmatched in recent history&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>They described the late Wigwe as a visionary leader and stalwart within the finance community&comma; adding that his demise has left an indelible mark on the banking industry&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In the statement&comma; Oyewale affirmed that the sudden loss is not only felt deeply within Access Holdings Plc but also resonates with NASRE&comma; as well as the entire business community&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The letter partly reads&comma; <em><strong>&&num;8220&semi;On behalf of the board of patrons led by Lt&period; General Tukur Buratai &lpar;rtd&rpar;&comma; executives&comma; and members of the Nigerian Association of Social and Resourceful Editors &lpar;NASRE&rpar;&comma; I extend our heartfelt condolences to the board&comma; management&comma; and staff of Access Holdings Plc on the untimely passing of your Group Chief Executive Officer&comma; Dr&period; Herbert Wigwe&comma; CFR&comma; alongside his wife and son in a helicopter crash in the United States of America&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>However&comma; the media group indicates its preparedness to maintain a strong connection to all the endeavours of the Access Holdings brands during this challenging period and beyond&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>It would be recalled that late Herbert Wigwe&comma; alongside other partners founded Access Bank in 1989&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;It became one of the largest banks in Nigeria in 2018 after acquiring its main competitor&comma; Diamond Bank&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
