<h4>NASRE Calls For Support Amid Borno Flooding Crisis<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a> reports the Nigerian Association of Social and Resourceful Editors &lpar;NASRE&rpar; has expressed deep sympathy for the people of Borno State following the devastating floods caused by heavy rainfall&period;<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p>In a statement released today&comma; September 11&comma; 2024&comma; NASRE commiserates with the state’s government&comma; stakeholders&comma; and residents who have been severely affected by the flooding&comma; which has disrupted economic activities and displaced numerous families&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>NASRE&comma; through its President&comma; Comrade Femi Oyewale&comma; emphasized the association’s solidarity with the people of Borno&period; The statement also highlighted the contributions of the association’s Grand Patron&comma; Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai &lpar;rtd&period;&rpar;&comma; commending his efforts in promoting Borno’s development&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;We stand in solidarity with the government and people of Borno&comma; particularly our esteemed Grand Patron&comma; Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai &lpar;rtd&period;&rpar;&comma; who&comma; along with others&comma; has made significant contributions to elevating Borno to its position as one of Nigeria&&num;8217&semi;s leading states&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He further emphasized the need for more support&colon; &&num;8220&semi;We urge individuals&comma; institutions&comma; and the international community&comma; including relevant agencies and NGOs&comma; to offer additional support to Borno State and its people during this difficult time&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The association lauded the federal government’s prompt response&comma; including the visit by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima&comma; who conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the affected areas&period; NASRE also acknowledged the relief efforts provided by both state and federal authorities to help mitigate the impact of the disaster&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
