Nafiu Habib, spokesperson for Police Academy, Kano has been promoted alongside other officers
OpenLife Nigeria reports that Nafiu Habib, the Police Public Relations Office of the Police Academy, POLAC, Wudil, Kano and 21 other officers have been promoted to various deserving ranks.
The Commandant of the Academy, Assistant Inspector General of Police Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim decorated the 21 newly promoted officers of the institution on Tuesday at the Assembly Hall of the institution.
The AIG tasked the officers to continue to exhibit high level of professionalism and discipline in discharging their duties as police officers.
Ibrahim expressed sense of fulfillment being the fourth occasion he performed the decoration of newly promoted officers in the Academy and described the promotions as a call for additional responsibilities as they would be training the future officers that would be taking over the job.
A statement signed by the institution spokesman DSP N. Habib said the beneficiaries involved those promoted from Deputy Superintendents to Superintendents of Police, Assistant Superintendents to Deputy Superintendents and Inspectors of Police to Assistant Superintendents.
They include SP Justin Takyun who is the sporting officer of the Academy, DSP Nafiu Habib, ANIPR, PPRO, ASP Ɗankaura Musa in charge of Communications and ASP Sama’ila Suleiman among others.
Nigeria Police Academy is the only Police University in West Africa and second of its kind on the African continent.
