OpenLife News reports that Ghanaian luxury fragrance brand Maison Yusif has introduced its newest creation, The Beast, as part of its drive to elevate African-made perfumes onto the global luxury stage.

The new Parfum Extrême was officially unveiled at a launch event held at the Pelican Hotel in Accra on Saturday, July 25. The fragrance is crafted to represent confidence, strength, discipline and timeless elegance, while celebrating the growing influence of African craftsmanship in the luxury fragrance industry.

Designed for individuals who make a lasting impression through their presence rather than words, The Beast combines boldness with sophistication.

Every bottle is handcrafted in Accra, reflecting Maison Yusif’s commitment to producing premium fragrances rooted in African creativity and excellence.

Guests at the launch were taken through an immersive fragrance experience, including a live demonstration of the perfume’s unique composition and scent profile. The event also featured testimonials from customers who shared their experiences with Maison Yusif’s products, praising their distinctive character, quality and long-lasting appeal.

Speaking after the launch, Founder of Maison Yusif, Yusif Jnr Meizongo, said the company has always aimed beyond the local market by building a globally recognised African luxury fragrance brand.

“Since we started, so far we have been targeting international, and it has been great for us, and I think Ghanaians also support its exposure.”

He said the company’s vision extends far beyond Ghana.

“Maison Yusif wants to take over the world and represent Africa.”

Mr. Meizongo noted that the brand is determined to change global perceptions of African luxury products by creating its own identity instead of following trends established elsewhere.

“Honestly, I’m sick and tired of replicating the white people in terms of everything that we do. So here we’re trying to take a new step to let the world know that Africa is what it is and Africa is the next big thing.”

According to him, Maison Yusif is focused on originality rather than competing with established international brands.

“Maison Yusif is not a competition. We’re doing it in our own race. We’re a royal fragrance house, truly niche, made in Ghana, by a Ghanaian, from Ghana and in Ghana.”

Looking ahead, he expressed confidence that the fragrance house would continue expanding its footprint across the continent and beyond.

“In the next five to 10 years, we look to conquer Africa and the world with our royal fragrance.”

Mr. Meizongo also revealed the inspiration behind the name of the latest fragrance, explaining that the creative team wanted a scent that symbolised power and dominance.

“We wanted to create a fragrance that was very dominant, and my creative team and I were looking for a very dominant name, and we came across The Beast. I’m not the only one who comes up with the names, or the scent, etc.”

The introduction of The Beast marks another milestone in Maison Yusif’s ambition to establish Ghana as a recognised producer of world-class luxury fragrances while promoting African innovation, craftsmanship and excellence on the international market.
