Mahmood Yakubu, INEC Chair, Has Doctored Poll Results—Party Agents

Mahmood Yakubu doctors poll results

OpenLife Nigeria reports that the collation agent of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dino Melaye, has challenged the method of collation and result announcement by the Independent National Electoral Commission at the National Collation Centre in Abuja, on Monday.

During his protest at the NCC, Melaye called for the results presentation at the polling units be displayed on the INEC website for comparison with the results presented by the State’s Collation Officers.

The agent of the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, stormed out of the National Collation Centre for the presidential election results at the International Conference Centre.

Dino, a member of the 8th National Assembly from Kogi West Senatorial District and a former governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha; amongst other party agents staged a walkout on the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yakubu over dissatisfaction on the process of the collation of results from state collation officers for the presidential election (SCOPs).

Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu, while responding said, “Dino, you are now deliberately being obstructive.
Meanwhile, most of the party agents are unanimous in persuading INEC to avoid progressing in error by bypassing unit upload of results to the national level.

“The results have been doctored,” Dino said
