Let Peace, Love Lead – Sam Creatives Urges Stonebwoy

 

OpenLife News reports that the Chief Executive Officer of the award-winning fashion design firm Sam Creatives, Mr Samuel Clottey, has called on Ghanaian music heavyweights Stonebwoy and Sarkodie to put their differences aside and allow peace, love and unity to prevail between them.

According to the young entrepreneur, the growth and international success of Ghanaian music can only be achieved when musicians support one another and present a united front.

“Ghana Music can only climb to the top with unity. Without peace, we should all forget that we can be at the top.

“Nigerian musicians have their differences, but you will never see them holding each other’s necks on the international stage,” he said.

Mr Clottey stressed that Stonebwoy and Sarkodie remain two of Ghana’s biggest musical exports and have played a significant role in promoting the country’s music and culture beyond the borders of Ghana.

He added that there is no way Ghanaian music can be discussed on the global stage without mentioning the names of Stonebwoy and Sarkodie, considering their achievements and influence in the international music space.

“There is no way you will mention names with Stonebwoy and Sarkodie because they are currently selling Ghana to the global stage,” he added.

The Sam Creatives CEO further urged fans and other stakeholders in the entertainment industry to play a positive role by supporting peace and reconciliation between the two artistes rather than fuelling tensions or taking sides.

He called on fans of both artistes to use their voices and influence to encourage dialogue, mutual respect and unity, stressing that their differences should not be allowed to overshadow the bigger picture of promoting Ghanaian music.

Mr Clottey believes Stonebwoy and Sarkodie have a responsibility that goes beyond their individual careers, given their influence and the role they play in representing Ghana on the international music scene.

He therefore appealed to both artistes to lead by example and urged their fans to support any genuine effort towards reconciliation.

“Let peace and love lead. Stonebwoy and Sarkodie should remember that they are not only representing themselves; they are also representing Ghana.

“I am also calling on their fans to support peace, stop fuelling the differences and encourage them to come together.

“Ghana Music needs unity, and we all have a role to play in making that happen,” he said.

He said the time has come for Ghanaian musicians, fans and industry stakeholders to put personal differences aside and work together to build a stronger and more united music industry capable of competing effectively on the global stage.
