Late Gambo Jimeta Was A Crack Police Detective –Buhari

Late Gambo Jimeta has been described as a patriot
OpenLife Nigeria reports that late Gambo Jimeta, Nigeria’s former Inspector–General has been described as one officer who offered excellent service to his father land.
The late Police Inspector–General died yesterday, January 21, 2021.
Late Gambo Jimeta Muhammadu was appointed in 1986 to succeed Etim Inyang and was succeeded by Aliyu Attah in 1990. He was also a National Security Adviser to former military President of Nigeria, Ibrahim Babangida.
In a presidential condolence message cited by OpenLife Nigeria , President Muhammadu Buhari
expressed sadness over the death of Muhammadu Gambo Jimeta, a one-time Inspector General of Police whose transition was announced Thursday evening,” Mr Shehu Garba, Presidency spokesman wrote.
Further, President Buhari “Conveyed the condolences of his family and that of the government and people of Nigeria to the bereaved family, the government and people of Adamawa State.”
Buhari describes the late Gambo Jimeta as a crack police detective as  well as “a man of great courage, intellect and a true Nigerian Statesman,” adding that “Today, Nigeria lost a great son. He lived for the nation and served with all his strength.
“May Allah bless his soul and give fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” President Buhari prayed.

Late Gambo Jimetawas 83 years, 9 months, and 10 days old.
