Land Grabbers Invade Maharaji’s Property In Ibadan

<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>Land Grabbers eye Maharaji&&num;8217&semi;s Property<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that few months after suspected land grabbers invaded the property of Sat Guru Maharaj Ji and injured four of his followers&comma; same land grabbers have struck again but this time pulling down the fence of his property located along Ibadan-Lagos expressway&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The incident which happened on Tuesday saw the land grabbers destroying a portion of the perimeter fence of the Maharaji village&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>While speaking on the latest encroachment on his property&comma; the Founder of the One Love Family&comma; Sat Guru Maharaji said that men of the Oyo state joint security outfit known as Operation Burst comprising soldiers&comma; civil defence and police officers and thugs also aided the land grabbers to carry out their dastardly act&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He added that just like last year&&num;8217&semi;s encroachment on his property that was aided by Police officers&semi; men of the Operation Burst also provided security for the land grabbers who pulled down his fence&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;For how long will the activities of land grabbers continue to grow&quest; They are permeating every section of the country&period; The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria&comma; Muhammadu Buhari and the Oyo State governor&comma; Mr Seyi Makinde should come in&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;By extension&comma; traditional rulers like the Olubadan of Ibadan land&comma; Oba Saliu Adetunji and the Alaafin of Oyo&comma; Oba Lamidi Adeyemi are also appealed to&period; The president has promised Nigerians that he would stop any form of anti-corruption in the country&period; We can’t sit down in Ibadan&comma; the pacesetter city&comma; and somebody will say he wants to throw away the judgment of the Court&period; It is against the Constitution&period;”<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Speaking further Maharaji Ji said&colon; &&num;8220&semi;We have gotten two favourable judgments on this land and we have been using the land for farming until we saw these hoodlums invade the land&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;It is a pity that some people still engage in such heinous crimes in this country where government preaches rule of law and anti-corruption everyday&comma;” Maharaj Ji posited&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Maharaj Ji called on the Director- General of Operation Burst&semi; GOC 2 Division&comma; Odogbo&comma; Ibadan and the Oyo State Commissioner of Police to call their officers to order&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;What I know is that it&&num;8217&semi;s illegal for any security agency to dabble into any land matters as that&&num;8217&semi;s not in the jurisdiction of their service&period; Why on earth would people be using soldier or police to carry out nefarious act&quest;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;Am calling on the GOC&comma; the Commissioner of Police and Director General of Operation Burst to call their men to order&comma;&&num;8221&semi; Maharaj Ji said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
