Lagos Police arrest a 19 years old Jemila Ibrahim for setting ablaze an ex lover’s girlfriend and abode
OpenLife Nigeria reports that an evil inspired 19 years old Jemila Ibrahim and her accomplice in crime, a 21 years old Fatima Mohammed who set ablaze the abode of Mohammed Yusuf in Monkey Village have been arrested.
This was disclosed in a Police statement signed by Superintendent Olumuyiwa Adejobi, Lagos Police Command spokesman.
In the statement, OpenLife Nigeria leart that Mohammed Yusuf was an ex lover to Jemila Ibrahim and they both live in the Monkey Village axis in the Festac area of Lagos.
The statement further clarifies that owing to irrecocialble differences arising from infidelity led to the break up of the once flourishing relationship.
However, much as Mohammed Yusuf felt it was all over, Jemila had different plans with high hope of reconciliation with the man she loved. According to the Police statement, Jemila who was looking up to reconciliation had hr hope dashed when she learnt and discovered that another lady had taken her place in Yusuf’s life for good.
To her, that was not to be as she hatched a devilish plan.
The Police narrative reads:
“Operatives attached to Satellite Division of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 19-year old Jemila Ibrahim and her friend, 21 years Fatima Mohammed of Monkey Village, Festac Area, Lagos, for setting ablaze the house of one Mohammed Yusuf in same Monkey Village, Lagos State, and his girlfriend, Rabi on 18th November, 2020 at 5.30pm.
“Mohammed Yusuf, an ex-lover to Jemila, had the hint of the incident and rushed to the house where he met his house on flame but managed to rescue Rabi, his new lover, from the inferno and took her to the hospital where she gave up the ghost on 21st November, 2020, at about 12pm.
“Mohammed had alleged his former lover, Jemila Ibrahim, of infidelity before they broke up; he later met and fell in love with his new lover, Rabi, that was caught up in the inferno.
“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, who condemned the crime, has ordered that the matter be transferred to the State CID, Panti, for discreet investigation. The Commissioner of Police also vowed to go after those who engage in crimes and social vices in order to get Lagos State rid of criminals and criminality.
“The police boss however encouraged Lagosians to shun taking laws into their hands; noting that jungle justice will only truncate the administration of justice and such could be counterproductive.
