Lagos Deputy Governor And 2027 APC Candidate
OpenLife Nigeria reports that arising from what may probably be an insider betrayal and backbiting in his 2027 governorship campaign circle, Lagos state deputy governor and the All Progressives Congress, APC 2027 guber candidate, Dr. Femi Hamzat, has offered cautionary lecture to his friends and associates to beware of associates.
Writing on his verified Facebook page, Hamzat explained that in some important respects, friends could be more dangerous than obvious enemies.
He maintained that when sensitive issues are at stake especially when it concerns pathway to success and breakthroughs either in business or politics, folks must learn to keep secrets.
Using bread as a metaphor, he admonished his followers that some friends could be so dangerous in a manner that they “May end up taking the buttered bread.”
He wrote:
“Never take some friends to where your bread is buttered. Some may end up taking the buttered bread, the person buttering the bread, the remaining bread, the remaining butter, the bread producer, the bread-making machine, and eventually the entire bakery.
“Not everyone deserves access to your opportunities. Be careful who you introduce into your circle and business.”
Born September 19, 1964, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat is the 2027 Lagos State governorship candidate on APC platform.
He has serving as deputy governor of Lagos State since 2019.
He had his primary education at Odu-Abore Memorial Primary School, Mushin, Lagos State, Nigeria and his secondary education at Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo State, in the Southwest region of Nigeria.

In August 2005, Dr. Hamzat was appointed Commissioner for Science and Technology during the tenure of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He retained his position when Governor Babatunde Fashola assumed office in 2007.
It was during his tenure as Commissioner for Science and Technology that Dr. Hamzat enforced the application of modern technology in the state’s ministries, thus changing the face of data and record keeping in Lagos and at the same time eliminating the trend of state ghost workers.
The office had gone without a commissioner during Fashola’s first four years (post-Rauf Aregbesola’s appointment), with only a Special Adviser.
In execution of his mandate, Dr. Hamzat’s ministry completed several key projects for Lagos State in the mega-city era.
