Lagos Business Man In Trouble
OpenLife Nigeria reports that a Lagos business man, Alhaji Solola Wasiu, is currently swimming in hot water over his alleged involvement in the exportation of Cannabis Sativa to the Netherlands
At the moment, a federal high court sitting in Lagos south west Nigeria has adjourned till 2nd of November,2023 when the business man and three others namely: Aremu Isiaka,Aro Aderinde and Ogunbode Saheed alleged to have conspired together to export Cannabis Sativa to Netherlands would be arraigned before the court.
According to three count charge filed before the court by the NDLEA Director of prosecution and Legal services, Barrister Nbona J.Sunday,the four defendants,Aremu Isiaka,Alhaji Solola Wasiu,Aro Aderinde and Ogunbode Saheed.
Between January and July 2022 conspired together to unlawfully export 3.149 kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa in a container number MSKU 1820587,a drug similar to Cocaine,Heroin and LSD and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under section 14(b) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Act,Cap N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN)2004.
COUNT 1
That you AREMU ISIAKA, Male, Adult Alhaji Solola wasiu on or about the 23rd day of July at Apapa Port, Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court without lawful authority exported to Netherlands 3.149 Kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa (in a Container Number MSKU 1820587) a drug similar to Cocaine, Heroin and LSD and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 11(b) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Act Cap N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN) 2004.
COUNT 2
That you Aremu Isiaka, Male, Adult, Alhaji Solola Wasiu, male, adult, Aro Aderinde, male, adult, and Ogunbode Saheed male adult between January and July 2022 in Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court conspired amongst yourselves to unlawfully export 3.149 kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa (in a Container Number MSKU 1820587) a drug similar to Cocaine, Heroin and LSD and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 14(b) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Act Cap N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria (LFN) 2004.
COUNT 3
That you Aro Aderinde, Male, Adult, on or about the 16th day of October 2022 at Ikorodu, Lagos within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court refused the officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency access into your house to conduct official duty of search even after they have introduced themselves and their mission to you and thereby willfully obstructed officers in course of exercising their duty and thereby committed an offence under Section 49(b) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Act Cap N30 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria(LFN)2004.
