Kolu, Popular Nigerian Influencer, Accused By Mother Of Neglect: “You Forgot Me For Village”

OpenLife Nigeria reports that a  woman claiming to be the biological mother of social media sensation Kolu has publicly accused him of neglect, alleging that he has abandoned her despite his rising fame. In a heartfelt video circulating online, she expressed her pain over being left behind in her village while her son continues to gain recognition.

Speaking in a mix of English and Pidgin, she described the hardships she endured during pregnancy and early motherhood. She said she resisted pressure from others to give up the child because she believed he was destined for greatness.

“Na me be Kolu mother. Till now, I never see my son. I suffer for nine months to carry you. You abandoned me for village for nine months wey I carry you. People say I should throw way you, I no gree throway you because I know say you be blessing child. And I no remove you because you be blessing for me. Kolu you forget me for village, e good like that?”

Her plea has sparked widespread online attention, with many viewers questioning the responsibilities of influencers to their families and wondering whether Kolu will respond to these serious allegations.

WHO IS KOLU? — BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Kolu, also known online as Kolu Wahala, is a Nigerian social media content creator and livestream personality originally from Kogi State. Born on December 1, 1993, he first gained attention through engaging livestreams and viral content collaborations, particularly with comedian‑streamer Carter Efe.
