Katsina Police Commissioner, Bello Shehu, Other Security Agencies Deal Significant Blow On Armed Banditry In The State

<h4>Katsina Police Commissioner&comma;<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a><&sol;strong> reports that Katsina State Police Command&comma; in collaboration with the military&comma; the Department of State Services &lpar;DSS&rpar;&comma; members of the Katsina State Community Watch Corps &lpar;KSCWC&rpar;&comma; and the vigilante&comma; have successfully carried out two operations&comma; dealing a significant blow to armed banditry in the state&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>On April 10th&comma; 2025&comma; at about 0415 hrs&comma; based on credible intelligence&comma; the DPO Dandume Division led a team of joint operatives to a suspected bandit&&num;8217&semi;s route at Dutsen Wori village&comma; Dandume LGA&comma; Katsina State&period;In a daring operation&comma; the joint security team successfully ambushed a group of suspected armed bandits&&num;8217&semi; along the route&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The ambush resulted in the neutralisation of five &lpar;5&rpar; suspected armed bandits and the recovery of seven &lpar;7&rpar; operational motorcycles &lpar;4 Hondas and 3 Boxers&rpar;&comma; which were being used by the bandits to carry out their nefarious activities&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;29242" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-29242" style&equals;"width&colon; 300px" class&equals;"wp-caption alignnone"><img class&equals;"size-medium wp-image-29242" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2025&sol;04&sol;IMG-20250411-WA0026-300x177&period;jpg" alt&equals;"Katsina state Police" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"177" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-29242" class&equals;"wp-caption-text"><em><strong>Items recovered by Katsina state Police from bandits<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p>Similarly&comma; on the same date at about 0700 hrs&comma; based on information received from the Department of State Service &lpar;DSS&rpar; on suspected armed bandit activities at Unguwar Adam and Unguwar Judo villages&comma; Danmusa LGA&comma; the DPO Danmusa quickly mobilised and led a joint team of police operatives&comma; Katsina State Community Watch Corps&comma; and local vigilantes to the scene&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A gun duel ensued which resulted in the dislodging of the bandit&&num;8217&semi;s hideout&period; Three &lpar;3&rpar; suspected informants to the bandits&comma; who were providing information and logistical support to the bandits&comma; were arrested&comma; and two &lpar;2&rpar; operational motorcycles and two &lpar;2&rpar; bicycles were also recovered during the operation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Efforts are being intensified to apprehend the fleeing suspects&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Commissioner of Police&comma; Katsina State Command&comma; CP Bello Shehu&comma; psc&comma; fdc&comma; commends the high level of professionalism&comma; synergy and dedication to duty exhibited by the joint security team&period; &&num;8220&semi;These operations demonstrate the commitment of the command in collaboration with sister security agencies in the state to maintaining peace and security&&num;8221&semi; the CP added&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Additionally&comma; he reiterated that the command under his stewardship remains vigilant and determined to tackle the menace of banditry&comma; ensuring the safety and security of citizens of the state&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em><strong>DSP ABUBAKAR SADIQ ALIYU&comma; anipr&comma;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;<em><strong>POLICE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER &lpar;PPRO&rpar;&comma;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><br &sol;>&NewLine;<em><strong>KATSINA STATE COMMAND&period;<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;
