<p>Kannywood Actress Samha Inuwa Sentenced To Six Months For Naira Damage<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a> <&sol;strong>reports that a  Federal High Court in Kano has sentenced Saadatu Mohammed Inuwa&comma; popularly known as Samha Inuwa&comma; to six months in prison for damaging the Nigerian currency&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Justice S&period;M&period; Shuaibu delivered the judgment after Inuwa admitted guilt to a single count charge that she tampered with a ₦1&comma;000 note by soiling it with her nose an act found to violate the Central Bank of Nigeria Act&comma; 2007&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Inuwa asked the judge for leniency&comma; stating she had no prior convictions and expressed regret for her actions&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The court sentenced her to six months’ imprisonment&comma; but gave her the option to pay a fine of ₦200&comma;000 instead of serving jail time&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The case drew attention after a viral social media video showed Inuwa using naira notes in a manner deemed abusive&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Nigerian law strictly prohibits defacing or mutilating currency&comma; with penalties designed to protect the integrity of the naira&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
