<p>Adaora Umeoji joined Zenith Bank in 1998 as a relatively junior employee.</p>
<p>Through dint of hard work and dedication to assigned duties, she rose through the ranks to become the bank’s group managing director and Chief Executive on June 1, 2024.</p>

<p>Just two years in the saddle as Zenith Bank’s group CEO, the bank recorded profit of N1.04 trillion for the 2025 financial year, with gross earnings rising to N4.19 trillion, reflecting growth across key financial indicators.</p>

<p>This was driven by increased interest income and growth in customer deposits, which stood at N24 trillion, while gross loans expanded to N11 trillion.</p>

<p>Interest income rose by 35 per cent, while net interest income grew by over 50 per cent, indicating effective margin management despite prevailing economic conditions.</p>
