The much-anticipated six-track project will be released on Friday, September 18, 2026, and promises to reintroduce Elder Mireku’s rich gospel legacy to a new generation.
Elder Mireku Classics Vol. 3 continues James Mireku’s mission to preserve the iconic catalog of Elder Mireku. The project blends authentic traditional Ghanaian gospel vibes with modern production and rich, contemporary arrangements.
According to James Mireku, the project is not a mere reproduction of the old classics, but a rebirth that keeps the soul and spiritual message intact.“This project is about carrying the sound forward without losing its soul.
Every arrangement honours the original music while giving a new generation a fresh way to experience it,” he said.
The 6-track album features an impressive lineup including Tuntum Black, Kofi Owusu Peprah, Calvis Hammond and Afro-fusion band FRA!, who each bring their unique style and energy to the classics.
Produced by James Mireku himself and recorded at JM Studios, the project is set to connect with both old fans of Elder Mireku and young gospel lovers discovering his music for the first time.
