Iyabo Ojo Clears Her Name Amid Fan Motun’s Fundraising Scam

OpenLife reports that Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has addressed the recent controversy involving her devoted fan, Motun, who allegedly scammed unsuspecting followers.

Motun, known for dedicating her Instagram page entirely to Iyabo Ojo, reportedly organized a fan “ajo” a communal savings scheme promising participants exclusive access to meet the actress.

However, several contributors claimed they never received their payouts. Some even alleged that when they questioned the delays, they were blocked, sparking public outrage.

This led to Iyabo Ojo’s name being unfairly dragged into the scandal.

Speaking in an Instagram Live session, Iyabo Ojo clarified her position, stating;

“I did not assign Motun a lead role in my movie, but I have always supported her in my own way, appreciating those who respect and stand by me.” She emphasized that she had no involvement in Motun’s fundraising activities and wanted to make her stance clear.

The actress also issued a firm warning to Motun, instructing her to stop promoting her movie and return the premiere ticket previously given to her.

Iyabo Ojo’s statement not only protects her brand but also serves as a reminder of the importance of accountability in fan interactions.
