The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has released the names of persons it said are terrorising and killing innocent citizens of Imo State and the South-East region in general.

In a recent statement by IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, the separatist organization claimed that the unknown gunmen wreaking havoc in the southeast are members of the Ebubeagu vigilante group.

Powerful gave the names as: Chinedu Agbaradu-Amagu commander; Cheta odinkenma – Amagu; Uchenna Nwachukwu; Chibyke Gezek Amagu and Chukwudi Odimegwu.

Furthermore, he listed the assailants in Oru East and Njaba Local Governmant Area (LGAs) of Imo State who he said are impersonating its armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN), as Uru, the man called sky; the man called “No one”, the man called “Double lion” and the man called “Commander”.

Nigerian authorities often blame the mindless attacks in the southeast region on IPOB – although the group denies. Last November, the Federal Government said the attacks on government agencies and agents by IPOB and ESN oppose the call for a political solution to their issue.
