Inclusive Community Development: Yobe Government Inaugurates ACReSAL Project Management Committee

<h4>Inclusive Community Development<&sol;h4>&NewLine;<p><strong><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;">OpenLife Nigeria<&sol;a> <&sol;strong>reports that Yobe State Commissioner of Environment&comma; Honourable Sidi Yakubu Karasuwa&comma; has inaugurated the 153 Local Government Project Management Committee &lpar;LGPMC&rpar; members for the 17 local government areas of Yobe State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Honourable Karasuwa&comma; who is also the Chairman Steering Committee of the Agro-Climatic in Semi-Arid Landscapes ACReSAL&comma; inaugurated the committee in Yobe on Friday&comma; October 6&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to a statement made available to OpenLife by Ibrahim Babasaleh&comma; Senior Special Assistant on Media in Yobe government&comma; the composition of the committee was drawn from relevant local government ministries including heads of departments&comma; traditional and religious representatives&comma; women and youth group leaders&comma; and representatives of people living with disabilities among others&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Speaking at the event&comma; the Environment Commissioner charged the committee to take ownership and sustainability of all projects to be executed&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Lending his voice&comma; the ACReSAL State Project Coordinator&comma; Shehu Alhaji Mohammed disclosed that the formation of the local committee is in line with the ACReSAL mandate to carry communities along in maintaining projects&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;vanguardngr&period;com&sol;">He said at least 9 people were selected in each of the 17 LGAs of Yobe State&period;<&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>According to him&comma; the federal government has expressed commitment to reclaim 4 million hectares of degraded lands&comma; out of this number&comma; Yobe ACReSAL is to reclaim 100&comma;000 hectares&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He urged the leaders at the local government councils to support the committee in discharging their responsibility&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<figure id&equals;"attachment&lowbar;22618" aria-describedby&equals;"caption-attachment-22618" style&equals;"width&colon; 300px" class&equals;"wp-caption alignnone"><img class&equals;"size-medium wp-image-22618" src&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;openlife&period;ng&sol;wp-content&sol;uploads&sol;2023&sol;10&sol;Yobe-2-300x173&period;jpg" alt&equals;"Inclusive Community Development" width&equals;"300" height&equals;"173" &sol;><figcaption id&equals;"caption-attachment-22618" class&equals;"wp-caption-text"><em><strong>Yobe State officers at the inclusive Community Development event<&sol;strong><&sol;em><&sol;figcaption><&sol;figure>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
