The controversy began after Sarah revealed that Mitchy blocked her shortly after Seyi Tinubu supported her foundation with a charity kitchen initiative.

She also recalled an uncomfortable moment when they ran into each other at a movie premiere hosted by Toyin Abraham, saying she felt embarrassed by the cold reception but chose to keep her composure.

Mitchy later defended herself, stating that her decision had nothing to do with money or empowerment. According to her, she distanced herself because Sarah is close to someone she has personal issues with.
