Igbo Billionaire, Arthur Eze, Sells Off Assets Over Financial Crises

Igbo Billionaire Arthur Eze Sells Off Assets

OpenLife Nigeria has reliably gathered that things may not be as rosy as it used to be with Anambra State born foremost billionaire, Arthur Eze.

Indication emerged over his financial crises when French oil group, TotalEnergies, is said to be currently in negotiations with the Nigerian billionaire to purchase his land in Anambra and other States in Eastern Nigeria.

The meeting, according to credible source,  took place discreetly in the heart of the 16th Arrondissement of Paris.

OpenLife further gathered that on  11 November,  in a suite at the Shangri-La palace, the Nigerian businessman  met for two hours with Franco-Gabonese Henri-Max Ndong-Nzue, the African director of the exploration-production branch of the French oil giant , TotalEnergies.

Source disclosed that he was appointed to this position at the beginning of September.

Further information reveals that negotiations on the prime assets hover around $6 billion.

What is however not clear at the moment is whether agreement has been reached by both parties.

‘Prince’ Arthur Eze, owner and founder of Atlas Oranto Petroleum,  hails from a family of traditional chiefs who govern the Ukpo community in Anambra State – his brother, His Royal Majesty Dr. Robert C. Eze (Okofia VI), is the current head of the ‘kingdom’.

Just last week, he gathered the who is who at his Abuja mansion as part of the activities to mark his 73rd birthday.

Arthur Eze has been a big influence in the corridors of power in civil and military administration.

He once owned Triax Airlines.
