TMT Travels CEO Arrested
OpenLife News reports that the Chief Executive Officer of TMT Travels & Tours Ltd, Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, popularly known as TMT, has been arrested over allegations of visa fraud and obtaining money under false pretence.
According to a video posted by activist VeryDarkMan, VDM, Onukwubiri was arrested in Owerri, Imo State and moved to Abuja by operatives of the Special Tactical Squad, STS, Abuja. The operation was said to be led by ACP Victor Ogbeide.
VDM linked the arrest to a petition submitted to the Office of MVOI. In the video, he said:
“To all the people that came to my office crying on this issue, justice is close. I met TMT in person and told him his cup is full. He started begging that he is ready to settle and refund everyone.
NOTICE: If you have been scammed by TMT please come to the NGO office on Monday by 12pm, let’s all move to the office.”

Background: 2025 Imo Police Investigation
It would be recalled that in 2025, the Imo State Police Command invited Onukwubiri for questioning following similar fraud allegations.
In a statement issued on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Okoye Henry, the Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, directed an investigation into the petitions received against TMT Travels & Tours Ltd.
According to the police, at least nine Nigerian passports</strong> were recovered from the company during the initial inquiry.
The statement read in part:
“The Command appeals to the public to remain calm, assuring that efforts are ongoing to recover funds paid for visa services as well as any additional documents belonging to affected persons.
“Citizens are also cautioned to exercise due diligence when engaging in visa or travel schemes. Further details of the investigation will be communicated in due course.”

What Happens Next
With the suspect now in Abuja, police sources say investigation will continue to determine the full scale of the alleged fraud and to facilitate refunds and recovery of documents for victims.
VDM has urged all alleged victims to report to the NGO office on Monday by 12pm for a joint visit to the relevant authorities.
Clearly, insiders aver that the arrest of the CEO of TMT Travels & Tours marks a major development in a case that has affected multiple Nigerians seeking visa services. Authorities say the focus now is on accountability, recovery of funds, and prosecution.
