OpenLife Nigeria reports that in a recent prayer gathering, renowned Nigerian pastor and gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey delivered a firm message to married men who mislead and become intimately involved with younger women.

He stressed that those participating in such behavior this year would encounter unavoidable and harsh repercussions.

Speaking at the event, he declared;

“If you try it this year, you won’t survive… your shame will not be forgotten, it will be on social media and you won’t come out of that hotel alive.”

Bassey also directed his admonition toward young ladies who choose to pursue relationships with married men, cautioning them against being swayed by temptations like “greed, attention, Brazilian hair, Louis Vuitton bag.”

He added emphatically, “if you try it you won’t survive it.”The pastor called on all individuals to prioritize ethical conduct, highlighting that the fallout from these immoral choices would be permanent and unforgiving.

Nathaniel Bassey, born on August 27, 1981, in Lagos, Nigeria, is a prominent figure in the gospel music and ministry landscape. He hails from Ikot Ofon Ikono in Uyo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, South-South Nigeria, where his roots in a devout Christian family shaped his early life. His father, Elder E. Joshua Bassey, was a minister and trumpeter in The Apostolic Church Bashua Assembly, instilling in him a love for both faith and music from a young age.

Growing up in a musically inclined household, Bassey was exposed to church worship and highlife music, which sparked his initial passion for instruments like the trumpet.Bassey pursued higher education at the University of Lagos, earning a degree in International Relations and Politics, before furthering his studies in politics and theology in London, including at the London School of Theology.

FAMILY

On the personal front, Bassey married Sarah Bassey in 2013 after a 12-year friendship. The couple resides in Lagos and has two children, balancing family life with his demanding career.
