Ibrahim Chatta Speaks On Roles He Refuses To Take

OpenLife reports that Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has offered a rare and candid insight into the personal convictions that guide the roles he accepts in the film industry.

Speaking during a conversation on the podcast hosted by Biola Bayo, the actor explained that his career choices are strongly influenced by both his faith and deeply held personal values.

During the discussion, Chatta addressed questions around artistic boundaries and the extent he is willing to go in portraying characters that conflict with his beliefs. He made it clear that certain roles are completely off the table for him, regardless of the scale of opportunity or financial reward attached to them.

His comments reflected a firm stance on maintaining what he described as spiritual and moral consistency in his professional life.

He stated:
“With due respect to LGBTT, l can’t acct it and secondly, l can never bow to any other God even when l am acting as a babalawo my fore head must not touch ground except for my God
That’s. The only two roles l will never act even if they give me 2 Billion dollars l will never act it at these stage of my life”.

His remarks have since generated widespread discussion, particularly around the intersection of personal beliefs and creative expression in the entertainment industry.

While some listeners view his position as a reflection of strong personal discipline, others have pointed to the broader conversation it raises about artistic flexibility and representation on screen.

Despite differing public reactions, Chatta maintained that his position is not open to negotiation, emphasizing that his principles remain unchanged at this stage of his career.
