IADC Chair: Enwereji succeeds Ote

&NewLine;<p>Mr&period;  Chuks Enwereji&comma; the immediate past Vice Chairman of the International Association of Drilling Contractors&comma; IADC&comma; Nigeria Chapter&comma; has succeeded Mr&period; Ote Enaibe as the chairman&period; The succession and handover held on November 26 at the Association’s 8th Annual General Meeting&comma; AGM&comma; at Oriental Hotel&comma; Lagos&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Enaibe who managed the association for three years&comma; 2016-2019&comma; gave an overview of his tenure which he explained birthed a deeper relationship and engagements with industry agencies like Department of Petroleum Resources&comma; DPR&comma; and Nigerian Petroleum Exchange&comma; NPEX&period; The engagements&comma; he explained&comma; has materialized into a situation where &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;no service company can partake in bidding process in NIPEX without an IADC certificate&comma; adding that the association now has &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;a stronghold on NCDMB&comma; DPR and NIPEX&period;” <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Specifically&comma; he maintained that &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The 2019 rig count in Nigeria’s oil field drilling sector continues to show signs of recovery&comma; heading towards the pre 2015 era&period;” He added that the development is expected to &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;impact positively on the fortunes of IADC member companies this year and in the coming years&period;” Enaibe also disclosed the highly impactful 2019  local and international conferences attended by the association members some of which included the Milan&comma; Italy June 19-20  World Conference attended by  Enwereji&comma; in his then capacity as Vice Chairman and the November 6-8 IADC Annual AGM&sol;Technical Conference in Austin&comma; USA&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&nbsp&semi;&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;The conferences proceedings were shared with&NewLine;all members&comma;” he stated with a sigh of satisfaction even as he submitted that&NewLine;its membership list has improved impressively&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>Enwereji&comma; in his&NewLine;acceptance speech&comma; promised to build on the success achieved by his predecessor&NewLine;and take the association to high heights through an enhanced regulatory&NewLine;framework and innovative administrative strategies&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>In his remarks&comma; the&NewLine;Association’s Middle East&comma; Caspian and Africa regional Representative&comma; &nbsp&semi;Hisham Zebian&comma; disclosed the association’s&NewLine;commitment to education for the emerging generation with the aim of enthroning&NewLine;quality leadership for the industry continuous growth&period; <&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;IADC supports education&period;&NewLine;The association has two students’ chapters in US and India&period; We have established&NewLine;young professional committee for &nbsp&semi;IADC&NewLine;values &nbsp&semi;and prepare the young ones for&NewLine;leadership&comma;” Zebian &nbsp&semi;stated&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;&NewLine;<p>IADC is an association for all oil and gas drilling industry stakeholders to connect&comma; share knowledge&comma; tackle common problems and develop solutions to critical issues&period; Its  Nigeria Chapter&comma; was inaugurated in 2012 to improve drilling efficiency&comma; safety standards&comma; environmental protection and industry relations with government&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
