“I Will Wear It Again”

OpenLife Nigeria reports that Chioma, wife of Nigerian music superstar Davido, didn’t hold back when a fan tried to critique her outfit from the 68th Grammy Awards.

After posting photos of her sheer, eye-catching gown on Instagram, one follower wrote:

“Nne, no wear this cloth again inugo. However, your husband loves you o.”

Chioma’s response was confident and unapologetic:

 “I will wear it again.”

Her reply sparked excitement among fans, many of whom praised her boldness and sense of style.

Davido and Chioma, legally married

The Grammy Awards, held Sunday night at Los Angeles’ Crypto Arena, were a major moment for the Davido family. While Davido was nominated for Best African Music Performance, Chioma’s appearance marked her first time attending the prestigious ceremony.

She walked the red carpet alongside her husband, his elder sister Sharon Adeleke, and other family members, making a statement with her daring choice of dress.

Social media reactions were mixed. While some users admired Chioma’s confidence and elegance, others questioned the sheer style of her gown.

Nonetheless, Chioma’s poised response and readiness to embrace her fashion choices sent a clear message: she dresses for herself and isn’t afraid to own her look.

Her presence at the Grammys was also a show of support for Davido, who was celebrating his nomination alongside fans and fellow musicians. The couple’s appearance together highlighted not only their strong bond but also the growing influence of African artists on the global stage.

Chioma’s Instagram post, complete with several red carpet snapshots, has since racked up thousands of likes and comments, proving that her style and her confidence in defending it  resonates with many followers.
