<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that <strong>Dr. Mike Oladunjoye Egbayelo</strong>, a 2027 Apapa 1 Lagos House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC, says he would deploy legislative instruments to elevate the prospects of maritime activities in Apapa Constituency 1 to the benefits of the community.</p>
<p>In an exclusive interview with <strong>OpenLife’s Senior Staff Writer, Isaac Ngumah</strong>, Egbayelo who is a nationally accredited business development expert and certified business analyst, urges party members and leaders in Apapa constituency 1 to vote for him during the primary election.</p>
<p>He also hints that if he scales through the primary and subsequently win the election, the people would experience optimal gains in State Assembly representation</p>
<p><strong>Why Are You Contesting For The Lagos State House Of Assembly?</strong></p>
<p>I believe that Apapa needs a good and better representation. There are so many opportunities in Apapa that need to be exploited.<br />
I believe that I am in a better position in terms of knowledge, experience and competence.</p>
<p><strong>What are the plans?</strong></p>
<p>I will sponsor a bill that will ensure maritime organizations inculcate sustainability and Environmental, Social, and Governance ESG, components in their operations and accountable to the host community.</p>

<p>My first 100 days is to prioritise Lagos port area sustainability bill that will ensure that maritime organizations are mandated by the Port Area Environmental Sustainability law when enacted to set aside 0.25 % of their annual revenue to support their host communities.</p>
<p>We are going to hinge it on the ESG Concept.</p>
<p>In addition, we are going to have a lots of programs where the youths and the elderly will be catered for.<br />
I am going to have a community center where the elderly and the youths will be catered for.</p>
<p>As a trained journalist, I am going to have a quarterly publication to be used to reorientate people about our programs.</p>
<p>Before now, I have done a lot of job <a href="https://www.vanguardngr.com/">trainings</a> like Apapa youths summits; Lagos Technocrats for Asiwaju etc.</p>
<p>We will continue our programs for the youths to equip them for the future.</p>
<p><strong>Why Did The Arewa Community Host You?</strong></p>
<p>Because they have seen that I am the only one that will represent their interests.<br />
I have given them a lot of empowerments and support over the years.</p>
<p>Among all the contestants, they have seen that I am the best of all. This is the first time where the Arewa community will endorse an aspirant of the Lagos State House of Assembly.</p>
<p><strong>What is your political strength?</strong></p>
<p>My strength comes from God.</p>
<p><strong>Has APC Done Well In Lagos State?</strong></p>
<p>APC has done well in Lagos State. You can see the infrastructural development, rapid constructions going on in Lagos State, complex of schools and others. Education, health insurance scheme etc have improved.</p>
<p><strong>What is your rating of President Tinubu’s economic reforms?</strong></p>
<p>The economic reform is a game changer. You can see that the subsidy removal has empowered the states financially to deliver infrastructure to states.</p>
<p>There are also lot of investments coming to Nigeria. More developments have been signed into operations.</p>
<p><strong>About Dr Michael Egbayelo</strong></p>
<p>Michael Egbayelo is a Nationally Accredited Business Development Expert (BDSP),a Certified Business Analyst, Chartered Financial Analyst(CFA), Chartered Financial Planner ( CFP)and a Certified Management Consultant (CMC).</p>
<p>He is the Strategy Development Advisor at the Windsor University, Washington DC USA.<br />
He established Excellerate Business School, a National Skills Qualification NSQ Training Center in Agbara Business District,Ogun State.</p>
<p>The Business School is one of the Training Service Providers of the State Government for the Ogun State Economic Transformation Project in conjunction with the Ogun State Skills Fund.</p>
<p>Dr Egbayelo has attended trainings and presented studies at the instance of several international organizations including the Africa Leadership Forum (ALF), Friedrich Nauman Foundation,the German Cordaid and the Ford Foundation.</p>

<p>He bagged a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree from the Dutch Business School, Business School Netherlands,Buren and a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Business and Organizational Leadership from the Gideon Robert University Zambia.</p>
