<p>The 2026 Grammys came and went, and South African star Tyla walked away with the Best African Music Performance award for her hit Push 2 Start, leaving fans buzzing across the continent.</p>
<p>Among those weighing in is Nigerian singer Joeboy, who recently shared his thoughts in a candid chat with Jay On-Air.</p>
<p>Joeboy admitted he had secretly hoped Davido would take home the award, but he had nothing but respect for Tyla’s achievement.</p>
<p>“While I personally hoped Davido would win the Best African Music Performance award at this year’s Grammys, you can’t take away what Tyla has achieved.</p>

<p>He added, “People may have their opinions, but Tyla truly deserved the Grammy. I have no issue with her win.”</p>
