GOVERNANCE

I am proud of Yobe youths– Governor Mai Mala Buni

“I am proud of Yobe State youths. They are  our greatest assets.”

They are the exhilarating words of  Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe  State over the manner the youths have conducted themselves peacefully in the face of rising #EndSars  protests across Nigeria.

The Governor made this disclosure when addressing Yobe’s APC stakeholders meeting in Damaturu.

He commended the youths  for unequalled  patriotism

“I like to especially appreciate our youth for their sense of reasoning and resilienceto the challenges of the EndSARS protests. You have individually and collectively done us proud.

Continuing, the governor said, “I also salute you for your ingenuity in organizing prayer sessions. You prayed for an end to the protests and peace to reign in Nigeria. You have proven to be different and unique.”

The acting national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC,  equally appreciated traditional and religious leaders. He thanked elder statesmen, parents, and guardians for always preaching peace and peaceful coexistence in the communities.

Said he: “My administration would continue to build dialogue and strategic engagements to resolve all differences and promote peace in the state.”

Earlier in his remarks, Mr Abubakar Aliyu, Minister of State for Works and Housing, appreciates President Muhammandu Buhari’s prompt response to the demands of the ‘End SARS’  Youths Movement .
