How PDP, Atiku Can Survive Nyesom Wike

The recent public second-term endorsement of the Lagos State Governor, His Excellency, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, (APC), by the Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Nyesom Wike, (PDP), has really shown the way Governor Wike is going towards – the oppositions, mostly the ruling opposition party!

All that Governor Wike has deliberately been doing, and the above as the climax of the audacity, are just like testing the water or the microphone for its appropriateness and suitability. But, most importantly as a bait, hence, the suggested needful, as follows-

There is the need for all the internal organs of the PDP – NWC, BOT, NEC, CAUCUS, PDP Governors Forum, etc, to meet for deliberations, and appropriate decisions taken on the harmful political conducts of Governor Wike, before any further extensive damage, and for record purpose.

In this type of delicate situation, you either do something right or wrong. So, the need to be very careful in taking decision, so that it does not boomerang, like a white horse fighting a pig in the mud!

The body language and utterances of Governor Wike, all along, are mere baits- you eat the bait, and fight with the pig, by expelling Governor Wike for anti party activites – but Governor Wike has earlier vowed not to leave the PDP, and pledged his unflinching support for the presidential candidate. Hence, his expulsion, this time around, will definitely aggravate the political equation, to Wike’s political advantage.

The best thing, therefore, will be to leave things unperturbed and allow time to determine, and overcome everything, by letting Governor Wike to bury himself politically, in committing more mistakes, to the glaring and discontinuance of discerning minds, with the resultant support/sympathy from the general public, including his hitherto admirers, for PDP and the presidential candidate, His Excellency, Atiku Abubakar.

In essence, when a crafty person is baiting you, you must equally be deliberate to be a superior person in the act of craftiness, in order to outwit/outsmart him – “Ologbon kekere ati Ologbon nla”- a man of little knowledge/craftiness with a man of high intelligence/wisdom.

In any case, there is the need for a meeting, deliberation, resolution, and official decision taken, for public information, record purpose, and future reference!

Nonetheless, PDP should continue intensifying its campaign strategies, towards the 2023 general elections, against the unnecessary/distracting Wike media war, as already demonstrated in Uyo and Kaduna PDP presidential campaigns, with the Edo state segment which held on Saturday, October 22.
