<h4>How I Forged My UTME Result</h4>
<p><strong><a href="https://openlife.ng/">OpenLife Nigeria</a></strong> reports that Mmesoma Joy Ejikeme, the student at the center of the UTME result controversy has admitted that she forged the UTME result which elevated her to be the best overall in the 2023 matriculation test.<br />
At a point in the controversy, the 19-year-old who said she was traumatized over allegation that she forged her result, claiming that her “results notification” slip for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination showing a score of 362 out of 400 was printed from the JAMB results portal. <a href="https://www.vanguardngr.com/">But the board argues she is parading a forged result on a template it discontinued in 2021.</a><br />
JAMB spokesman Fabian Benjamin, in the process, said on Tuesday its records indicated the candidate had sent a series of messages to the board’s automated telecoms system, including the results showing an aggregate of 362.<br />
Responding, Mmesoma said the only SMS she sent to JAMB was through its support system: “That’s the only SMS I sent there.”</p>

<p>Asked if she got any feedback, she said: “They didn’t reply. If they check their JAMB Support System, they would see that I sent a text message. They didn’t reply.”<br />
On the claim that she used an Airtel line, Mmesoma replied: “Yes,” but she added she said it was “not through USSD code”.<br />
“The one I checked through the USSD code is the one of 360 (sic) that I saw,” she explained.<br />
Asked if she got any feedback showing her score as 249, she said, “Yes. After all said and done, I now saw that I got 249. I sent them a test message there to know what really happened – the JAMB Support System. If they go to their system, they will see it there.”</p>

<p>But according to a Committee of Inquiry set up by the Government of Anambra State to thoroughly investigate the controversy around the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Result (UTME) result of Ejikeme Mmesoma, Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma admitted that she manipulated the fake results herself, using her phone.”<br />
The committee recommended that the schoolgirl tenders apology to the <a href="https://openlife.ng/">Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB)</a>.<br />
A report on the Anambra-constituted panel’s investigation has now concluded that Mmesoma indeed faked the results.<br />
The panel of inquiry, in it’s report, said Mmesoma is expected to tender a written apology to JAMB, the Anglican Girls Secondary, and the Anambra state government.<br />

<p><em><strong>“The results paraded by Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma with an aggregate score of 362 are fake as buttressed by significant variations in the registration number, date of birth, centre name, and other infractions,” the panel’s report reads.</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>“Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma admitted that she manipulated the fake results herself, using her phone.</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>“The Principal Anglican Girls’ Secondary School, Mrs. Edu Uche, and the education secretary, Diocese of Nnewi (Anglican Communion) expressed dismay at the conduct of Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma.</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>“Ejikeme Joy Mmesoma should undergo psychological counseling and therapy.</strong></em><br />
<em><strong>“We hope that this unearthing of the truth as we have discovered will go a long way in correcting the sentiments, misconceptions, and deceptions that have been in the public domain.”</strong></em></p>
